Congratulations to Keith and Bev Lacey and Eddie and Donna Wales! The Bazadais cross have done well again following up on their wins from 2010.

Keith and Bev Lacey had exceptional results winning with their Bazadais Brahman cross and Bazadais Droughtmaster cross cattle.

Their wins include:

• Most Successful Exhibitor Grand Champion Carcase (out of 416 head of cattle)
• Champion Grainfed Heifer
• 1st and 2nd Single Grainfed Heifer
• 3rd with a pen of Grain Fed Steers
• 3rd with a Pen of Grainfed Steers

Keith and Bev Lacey had fanatastic showing winning:

• Most Successful Exhibitor,
• Grand Champion Carcase (out of 416 head of cattle),
• Champion Grainfed Heifer,
• 1st and 2nd Single Grainfed Heifer,
• 3rd with a pen of Grain Fed Steers, and 3rd with a Pen of Grainfed Steers.

Bazadais Brahman cross cattle from Wales Grazing Co., Biloela achieved the following excellent results:

• Champion and Reserve Champion Grainfed Steer
• 2nd Single Grainfed Steer
• 2nd with a Pen of Grainfed Steers

The Champion and Reserve Champion came out of the pen of three. All cattle including the ones in pens are judged individually as well. It was just unfortunate that one of the three let him down in the pen.

Wingham Beef Week Carcase Competition 2010

Congratulations to Roy & Dorothy Laverty from Big Ben Bazadais at Taylors Arm, Mid North Coast NSW. In a field of 9 middle weight steers Big Ben scored 1st and 3rd in carcase section. Official Results Certificate

This competition is Australia wide and covered 21 abattoirs 147 entries from WA, Tasmania to Nth Queensland

Medium Trade Pasture Fed 180 – 260 kg: Dent 0-2

2nd overall with 241.15 points.

Less than .5 of a mark between 1st and 2nd Official Results Certificate

Export Pasture Fed 300 – 420 kg: Dent 0-6

3rd with 196.14 points Official Results Certificate

Heavy Trade Pasture Fed 260.1 – 340kg: Dent 0-2

Even though these steers were disqualified for two being just underweight it is worth just checking the results. The winning pen had a score of 204.06 The pen of steers for Keith Lacey was 212.84 without the Pen Bonus
